The Chicago Bears delivered a dominant performance against the Eagles on Monday. Both teams brought 2-1 records to the game, each trying to gain early season momentum, but only the Bears were able to walk away with it.

Case Keenum and the Bears went up against the Eagles and Jalen Hurts. Chicago was looking to even out their record and performance highs and lows, while Philadelphia was looking to build on their strong offensive performance. The Bears took control on the first drive of the game with a 17-yard Field Goal. From there they never looked back.

Chicago dominated the entire game, however things took a huge shift in their favor at the 4:04 mark of the second quarter. Kalif Raymond took a 41 yard touchdown pass from Keenum to go up 20-0. Things only got worse for the Eagles as Cairo Santos added a 29-yard field goal for the Bears, taking a 23-0 lead into the locker room. With Philadelphia already down big, Jalen Hurts scored on a 2-yard touchdown run to cut the lead to 16. It was the only real highlight for the Eagles' offense the rest of the game. The Bears added a 48 yard field goal, and played terrific defense holding the Eagles scoreless for three of the four quarters.

The NFL's only game of the week on September 28, 2026, pitted the Eagles against the Bears in Chicago. A classic late September game, challenging for the home team, and rewarding for the Bears. The crowd helped the Bears take an early lead and they never looked back.

Both teams needed a win. The Bears win evened their record at 2-1, and gave them momentum with a defense that shut down a formidable offense and a balanced offense of their own. In the NFC North, the Bears showed they may be better than expected with their win against Philadelphia. For the Eagles, their loss solidified their offensive inefficiencies as they were unable to find a groove and score outside of the second quarter.

Chicago’s success came from disciplined execution and timely big plays. With players like Keenum, Santos and a defense that pressured Hurts, the Bears showed they were a complete team. Contrasting the Bears, the Eagles, known for their explosive offense, were out of sync all game.

Going into week four of the 2026 NFL season, the Bears boasted a dominating defense and an offense that was balanced enough to win games. Strong early season performances can resonate all season and help shape the future of a team. The Bears looked poised to control their own future.
